GM Collision Information Now Available Electronically
Grand Blanc, Mich. -General Motors Service Parts Operations (GM SPO) has launched two new programs that allow GM dealers and independent collision repair shops to access collision repair and service manual information quickly and accurately via the internet. The goal of the program is to improve customer service and satisfaction by making select technical repair information available for newly launched products and then goes one step further with a complete offering of on-line service manual information.
"The information we're providing on the TechInfo.Goodwrench.com website (located within www.goodwrench.com) will make select collision repair procedures easily accessible for the first time," said Michael Henk, GM SPO collision parts product specialist. "The repair information dealers and independent collision shops need is in one place and it's free. Customer satisfaction can be greatly enhanced when they bring a vehicle in for a repair and the work is done quickly, efficiently, and the right way the first time."
In addition to the free collision repair information, GM SPO through the ACDelco Tec website is making GM service manual information available for purchase. With this new offering, shop and service manual information will be available via the ACDelcotechconnect.com website. The electronic version of the service manual which is already available to GM dealers can now be accessed by collision repair shops or do-it-yourselfers and contains general systems, maintenance and diagnostic and repair information. Access to the service information is available via a subscription with a fee structure based on access to the site daily, weekly, or monthly.
"ACDelcotechconnect.com represents the first time electronic GM service information for vehicles 1998 and newer is available for technicians outside of GM dealerships, " says Steve Sigg, manager of aftermarket service center support. "An added bonus is that the information is constantly updated and current and technicians only have to purchase what they need."
SPO, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Mich., markets automotive replacement parts and accessories worldwide under the GM and ACDelco brand names. For more information, visit the GM Goodwrench Service Plus web site at www.goodwrench.com or visit your local GM Dealer.
