Telematic Company Kivera Names New CFO And VP Sales

Executive Team Gains Depth with the Appointment of Mark Strassman as Vice President of Products and Marketing OAKLAND, Calif.

--Nov. 26, 2001--Kivera, the standard for dependable location-based services (LBS), today announced the promotion of Thomas V. Bonomi, Jr. to chief financial officer from vice president of finance.

Bonomi was pivotal in facilitating Kivera's two rounds of funding totaling $29.9 million from contributors including Sun Microsystems, Fremont Communications, Automobile Club of Southern California and DENSO Corp. Kivera also announced the executive appointment of Mark Strassman as vice president of products and marketing.

As Chief Financial Officer, Bonomi is responsible for all financial and accounting functions, equity and debt solicitations, legal and human resource activities. Bonomi has been with Kivera for two years and has nearly 20 years of financial experience. Before joining Kivera, he served as vice president of corporate finance at GATX Capital, an asset-based financial services company. Bonomi, a certified public accountant, began his career at KPMG.

Strassman joins Kivera as vice president of products and marketing with more than 10 years of experience in the software tools and services industry. He is responsible for driving all product management and marketing strategies for Kivera's revolutionary location-based service (LBS) offerings that improve the functionality, reliability and ease of delivering LBS content and applications. Prior to joining Kivera, Strassman founded two successful technology companies and served in strategic product management and marketing positions at Macromedia and Adobe Systems.
