Starr to Pilot No. 75 Spears Truck in 2002

STARR TO PILOT NO. 75 SPEARS MANUFACTURING CHEVROLET 
DURING 2002 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES SEASON

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 21, 2001) -- It was officially announced today that
David Starr of Houston, Texas, will take over the driving duties of the No.
75 Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet Silverado during the 2002 NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series season. Starr replaces rookie Billy Bigley who finished the
2001 season 13th in the point championship.

"I've not had an opportunity to complete a full season in the Truck Series,
so I'm really looking forward to 2002," said Starr. "Wayne Spears and the
Spears Motorsports team have been in the series almost since the beginning,
so they know what it takes to prepare a truck. I'm looking forward to taking
the Spears Manufacturing Chevrolet to the front -- hopefully, I'll be the
first driver to give them a Craftsman Truck Series win."

"We're excited to have David in our truck," said Al Hoffman, team manager.
"I've watched him for several years now and he has accomplished some good
things on his own. He's a good shoe."

Starr, 33, has had a journeyman career to date in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Series. Though he has been a regular participant in the series since 1998,
Starr has yet to run a complete season. With 47 Truck Series starts to his
credit, his best finish is a third place at Texas Motor Speedway this past
June during the O'Reilly 400. Starr has three top-5 finishes and four top-10
finishes, all of which came in just five starts during the 2001 season.

In his racing career, Starr has also participated in five NASCAR Busch
Series, Grand National Division races with a best finish of 17th at Texas
Motor Speedway in an A.J Foyt-prepared Pontiac. Starr has one win in a
NASCAR-sanctioned event, taking the checkered flag at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway in a Winston West Series event on April 22, 2000. As time allows,
Starr works as an instructor at the Team Texas High Performance Driving
School at Texas Motor Speedway.

In related news, Spears Motorsports recently signed Ron Hutter as the engine
supplier in an effort to enhance the program. The team is currently
searching for a crew chief and expects to name one prior to participating in
an open Chevrolet test session at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Dec. 11-12.
