UnitedAuto Announces Executive Appointment; Scott B. Vaughan Named Vice President - Manufacturer Relations
DETROIT--Nov. 21, 2001--UnitedAuto Group, Inc. , a FORTUNE 500 automotive specialty retailer, today announced a new executive appointment.Scott B. Vaughan has joined UnitedAuto as Vice President - Manufacturer Relations. Mr. Vaughan will report to Chairman Roger Penske and President Sam DiFeo, Jr. Vaughan's appointment reinforces UnitedAuto's commitment to excellent manufacturer relations. He will be responsible for the Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi and Hyundai brands.
Prior to joining UnitedAuto, Vaughan held positions at Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC). They included various sales positions in the marine, on-highway and automotive businesses, as well as positions of Vice President for Automotive and Marine Sales. Vaughan, who attended Arizona State University, lives in suburban Detroit, is married and has two children.
