2002 AAA TourBook Cover Combines Old and New for Association's Centennial

ORLANDO, Fla.--Nov. 19, 2001--In celebration of its 100th anniversary, AAA is developing a cover design for its 2002 TourBook(R) guides that combines nostalgic images with new photographs of each state or region.
"The covers will represent travel from both the past and the present," said Bill Wood, director of product development, AAA Publishing. "We will also incorporate an icon that indicates AAA is celebrating 100 years of service to its members." AAA currently offers 24 TourBooks covering North America.
In addition to the cover design, a two-page spread in each book will highlight important dates from AAA's history depicting the organization's service to both consumers and North America.
Other notable changes in store for the 2002 TourBooks include:

-- Additional details concerning the location of lodgings that could benefit a user's experience such as proximity to transportation and businesses.
-- Expanded information on the quality, number and types of rooms available.
-- Moving information concerning the availability of meal plans closer to the room rate so that users can quickly identify properties that include meals in the room rate.
-- Consolidated and clarified information on the number and types of pools available.
-- Expanded information on AAA Show Your Card and Save attractions and restaurants so that users can take advantage of negotiated discounts.

As North America's largest motoring and leisure travel organization, AAA provides more than 44 million members with travel, insurance, financial and automotive-related services. Since its founding in 1902, the not-for-profit, fully tax-paying AAA has been a leader and advocate for the safety and security of all travelers.
