Winnebago Industries to Receive 6th Consecutive RVDA Quality Circle Award

FOREST CITY, Iowa--Nov. 19, 2001--Winnebago Industries, Inc. , the world's leading motor home manufacturer, today reported that the Company will be awarded the prestigious Quality Circle Award from the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) for the sixth consecutive year.
Winnebago Industries Chairman, CEO and President Bruce Hertzke said, "We are truly honored to receive this Quality Circle Award, particularly as Winnebago Industries is the only motor home manufacturer to receive the award each year since its inception six years ago. It reaffirms our positive relationship with our dealer partners to continue to be recognized by them as a quality manufacturer. I'd like to express my deep gratitude to all our dealers who have expressed such confidence in Winnebago Industries and for all our employees who have worked hard to make sure every product, program and service that we provide our valuable dealer partners is of superior quality. We will continue to work hard to see to it that both dealers and retail customers get the kind of products, service and support that they so fully deserve."
"We feel the continuing attention to quality and product innovation that helped us earn this award is also responsible for our continued market share gains," said Hertzke. "Winnebago Industries is the leading motor home manufacturer, regaining the number one position in retail sales of combined Class A and C motor homes for the first time in 20 years. According to Statistical Surveys, Inc., the recreation vehicle retail reporting firm, Winnebago Industries achieved 18.9 percent of the combined Class A and C motor home retail market nationally calendar year to date through September, a 10 percent increase versus 17.2 percent for the same period last year.
Quality Circle Award winners are determined by the Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI) survey which RVDA conducts annually with its dealer organization. The DSI survey asks its members to rate their manufacturers performance in five categories: sales, product, management, and service/warranty/support.
Winnebago Industries was one of only six recreation vehicle (RV) manufacturers and the only company among the six largest motor home manufacturers to achieve this status.
