Honda's Alabama Assembly Line is Rolling
Honda Motor Co. has begun production of its popular Odyssey minivan at a new plant in Lincoln, Ala. The new plant has gone into full production six months ahead of schedule after operating as a pilot plant for the last several months. Honda hopes to bring output at the plant to 120,000 vehicles a year from the current 60,000 per year within the next 12 months.
Honda also is producing V-6 engines for the Odyssey at the plant and they too will be assembled at the rate of 120,000 a year when production is ramped up.
