XM Satellite Radio Available In Detroit And Cadillac Showrooms
DETROIT - Motown has never sounded better now that XM Satellite Radio is available in the Detroit area. Moreover, GM, the first automaker to offer XM Satellite Radio, announced the first XM-equipped Cadillacs are rolling off the line at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly Center and are arriving in showrooms across the country.
"Motown has always had a strong association with music," says XM CEO Hugh Panero. "Now XM subscribers in the Detroit area can enjoy all of these great songs as well as a virtually unlimited variety of music and talk programming at work, in their homes, and on the road."
Rick Lee, vice president of OnStar/XM Satellite Radio Services, states 2002 XM-equipped Cadillacs will be hitting the highways during the next weeks, and these owners will enjoy listening to digital quality music without interruption from coast to coast.
XM Satellite Radio is available as an option on 2002 Cadillac DeVilles and Sevilles. GM will expand XM availability to over 20 models in 2003.
The service price for all 100 channels of XM Radio is only $9.99 per month, which customers who lease or finance through GMAC can simply roll into their monthly car payments.
