NBC Continues Racing Collectables TV Shop at Home

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Nov. 13 -- ShopNBC announced today that it has expanded its existing relationship with Speedshop to a one-year programming agreement. ``Speedshop, the Fastest Show on TV'' will appear weekly on ShopNBC Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST, debuting November 14.

Speedshop will use its pre-existing agreements and affiliations with drivers, teams and suppliers to create and offer unique and exclusive ``true collectibles'' under the Speedshop brand. ``Speedshop'' on ShopNBC will feature interviews with some of the biggest names in racing, including the superstars of NASCAR and NHRA like Team Roush and John Force, as well as racing legends Carroll Shelby and Phil Hill. SpeedShop will entertain racing fans by offering them the opportunity to purchase a broad range of racing related merchandise.

Products will range from collectibles, such as exclusive autographed products related to the teams, one-of-a-kind or limited editions, to, literally, pieces of championship race cars that will be cut apart for sale on the program as viewers watch -- all signed and properly packaged for display. Whether you're looking for that hard-to-find motorsports collectible, one-off piece of NASCAR memorabilia, or unique accessories to spruce up the project car or daily driver, ``SpeedShop'' on ShopNBC will have it all.

``We are excited about our expanded relationship with Speedshop,'' said Roy Seinfeld, ShopNBC's Senior Vice President of Programming Sales. ``'Speedshop' on ShopNBC will help create and fill a new but ever-expanding market niche for true motorsports enthusiasts who want to be entertained and own a piece of their passion.''

``Motorsports is the biggest spectator sport in the world and creates a huge demand for racing related collectibles and memorabilia,'' said Richard Gamarra, Speedshop President. ``We felt the Speedshop concept was a perfect match for ShopNBC. With the synergy of their existing and growing audience base, their NBC affiliation, and the continuing growth of motorsports, the timing is perfect to offer exclusive and unique, high-end motorsports collectibles on television.''
