ABRA's Montgomery Named to I-CAR Post

    MINNEAPOLIS--Nov. 12, 2001--Monty Montgomery, Vice President of ABRA-Tennessee, has been appointed to serve a one-year term as the District Chairman for the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) for the Memphis market.
    I-CAR is an international, not-for-profit training organization dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.
    "I'm a strong supporter of I-CAR, and feel a great part of our industry's success is dependent on following the strong principles of such an organization," stated Montgomery. "I'm excited about serving as District Chairman for the next year, and will dedicate the time and effort needed to garner involvement in I-CAR from other repair centers."
    Montgomery, who has been in the damaged vehicle repair industry for over 25 years, joined ABRA in 1999 as an Integration Manager. Before being named Vice President ABRA-Tennessee in April 2000, he was Operations Manager for the Tennessee market.
    One of I-CAR's major objectives is to develop and deliver technical training programs to professionals in all areas of the collision repair industry. In addition, they provide a communication forum for anyone interested in proper collision repair. I-CAR's primary funding is derived from student tuition and services. This assures they can remain unbiased in developing courses and services on an industry-wide basis.
    "Another responsibility my team and I will take on over the next twelve months," continued Montgomery, "is the coordination of all I-CAR classes in the Memphis area. Our goal is to have all technicians, in all repair centers, certified by I-CAR. This would raise the quality of all repairs, thereby ultimately raising the status of our entire industry."
