Superior Industries International Named Aluminum Wheel Supplier for the Chrysler PT Cruiser

    VAN NUYS, Calif.--Nov. 12, 2001--Superior Industries International, Inc. announced today that it has been named aluminum road wheel supplier for the 2002 model year Chrysler PT Cruiser.
    "We are proud that Superior has been selected to provide aluminum wheels for this extremely popular vehicle. This represents an expansion of our relationship with DaimlerChrysler. We look forward to building our relationship with this important customer in the years ahead," said Louis L. Borick, President and Chairman.
    The Chrysler PT Cruiser has underscored the Chrysler Brand's commitment to offering unique and innovative products on an international scale. Named the North American Car of the Year following its introduction in 2000, the company has continued to increase production of the popular, head-turning PT Cruiser. Worldwide capacity is now 310,000 units, with production in Toluca, Mexico and DaimlerChrysler's EuroStar plant in Graz, Austria.
