RFQ Web Express Helps Manufacturers Quote New Business Faster and More Accurately

ROYAL OAK, Mich.--Nov. 12, 2001--PDS Technology, LLC has developed a new Web-enabled software package, RFQ Web Express, that will help manufacturers quote new business faster and more accurately.
"Thirty percent of quotes are late," said Michael F. Juras, president and chief executive officer of PDS Technology. "That means that manufacturers lose a considerable amount of new business due to late quotes."
In addition to speed, RFQ Web Express provides total document and cost control in real time with alerts. "You know where the quote is in the process at all times," Juras said. "Cost detail is always available, at your fingertips. You know your `real margins' before you quote or negotiate them away.
"Ultimately, RFQ Web Express can help manufacturers improve their bottom lines," Juras said.
PDS Technology derived RFQ Web Express from the front-end Program Plan section of its Product Development System (PDS), which standardizes and manages the product development process in all major manufacturing industries. Juras designed the PDS and founded PDS Technology in 2000 to develop and market the product.
RFQ Web Express is a closed-loop system that begins and ends with the sales process. It has a streamlined Web-enabled architecture and an upfront product development blueprint, connects to other enterprise software program, enables online auctions, meets QS 9000 requirements, and can be customized to meet the needs of individual manufacturers.
In addition to software, the RFQ Web Express package includes installation and training, continuing upgrades and enhancements, and a free help desk. The price for the basic package is $75,000.
