FRAM Named Official Filter of NHRA for Second Year; FRAM Package Redesign and Retail Promotions

    DANBURY, Conn.--Nov. 9, 2001--FRAM filters of Honeywell Consumer Products, has been named by the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) as The Official Filter of the NHRA for the second year. As a part of this agreement, FRAM will launch a redesign of its familiar orange packaging to include the NHRA Official Filter logo on all oil filter products as well as retail promotions aimed at the race fan and the DIYer.

    FRAM has been a longtime sponsor of the NHRA and receives increased visibility as part of this endorsement, including on-track signage at all NHRA Winston Drag Racing Series events. In addition to being named the Official Filter of the NHRA, FRAM is renewing for 2002 its primary sponsorship of Rhonda Hartman-Smith's Top Fuel dragster.
