E-Power Announces Industrial-Strength Call Center to be Based in Houston

    HOUSTON--Nov. 7, 2001--E-Power International Inc. (OTCBB:EPWI), a diversified manufacturing and service company, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary GPS Worldwide will begin offering a 24 hour by seven day a week monitoring service hosted by Barton Protective Services. By offering its industrial location services customers an enhanced call center option for monitoring, special needs which arise from customers' emergency calls will have an added degree of professional and dependable response options. This service will be provided only to fleet or industrial users of the vehicle tracking systems in North America.
    Plans are to add consumer services where in the Barton Protective Service's call center can provide peace of mind for consumers capable of dispatching roadside assistance, un-locking doors if they are locked out and providing verbal disclosure of the consumer's vehicle location. An Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) system will also provide a scalable platform where service monitoring features are automated, not requiring a live operator.
    Barton Protective Services call center affiliation with GPS World Wide will expand E-Power International's efforts to bring integrated services that add value while keeping costs down for small- and medium-size business operators. A small fleet owner can add the call center for less than ten dollars per month per vehicle.
