Hillwood to Build 608,322 Square-foot Build-to-suit for Bridgestone/Firestone At AllianceTexas; Deal is Largest Industrial Lease in Dallas-Fort Worth Since 1999
ROANOKE, Texas--Nov. 6, 2001--Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc., the largest subsidiary of the world's largest tire and rubber company, has leased a 608,322 square-foot build-to-suit in the 15,000-acre AllianceTexas development from Hillwood. The new facility will be located at 600 Gateway Parkway in Roanoke, Texas."Alliance is a perfect location for a number of reasons: good access to major freeways, close proximity to the BNSF Intermodal yard, and the attractive package offered by the city of Roanoke," said Nelson Miller, Director of Physical Distribution for Bridgestone/Firestone. "That combined with the premier developer, Hillwood, made AllianceTexas our first choice."
Bridgestone/Firestone was represented by Brett Tremaine of Lee & Associates in California and Trey Fricke of Henry S. Miller Company.
The deal is the largest lease in terms of square footage executed in Dallas-Fort Worth since 1999. Over the past two weeks, Hillwood has completed 2-of-the-3 largest leases done in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2001. Last week Hillwood announced a 375,000 square-foot lease with Georgia-Pacific at Skyline Business Park in Mesquite, Texas. This year in North Texas, Hillwood has leased 3.1 million square feet of commercial space, including 5-of-the-7 largest industrial leases in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2001.
