--U.S. Congressional Delegation to Meet With DaimlerChrysler, Ford
and General Motors to Discuss Ways to Improve Trade Efficiency at
the Border
A U.S. Congressional Delegation led by Representative J.C. Watts Jr. (R- Oklahoma), Chairman of the House Republican Conference, will meet with senior representatives of DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors along with representatives from major automotive, manufacturing and transportation industry associations in Windsor on November 5th to discuss ways to improve border efficiency.
Date: Monday, November 5th, 2001. Time: 1:45p.m. - 3:00p.m. (Media are invited to attend the entire hearing if they desire, however a press conference will take place at 3:00p.m.) Location: The Cleary International Centre Dieppe Room B 201 Riverside Drive West Windsor, Ontario
Media are advised that photo opportunities of the delegation will be available at customs inspection facilities at either end of the Ambassador Bridge following the hearing.
