Fannin Named Director of Media & Marketing at Road Atlanta

BRASELTON, GA (Nov. 2, 2001) - Motorsports veteran Earl C. Fannin has been
named Director of Media & Marketing at Road Atlanta and will be responsible
for public relations, marketing, media buys and promotions.  He will also
assist with sponsorship sales and fulfillment.

"Earl brings a wealth of experience, especially in road racing, to our
organization," said Mike Swaine, Executive Director of Road Atlanta.  "He
will be an integral part of our Road Atlanta team."

A veteran of more than 22 years in the motorsports industry, Fannin got his
start as an award-winning motorsports writer at the Florida Times-Union
(Jacksonville, FL) in 1979.  His story about Peter Gregg's suicide in 1980
and an interview with stock car champion Lee Roy Yarborough (who was in jail
for allegedly trying to choke his mother) won national writing awards.

In 1983, he joined the sports marketing staff of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co.,
where he handled public relations and promotional activities for a variety
of series, including the IMSA Camel GT, NASCAR Winston West, NASCAR Winston
Racing Series, AMA Camel Pro motorcycles, and NHRA and IHRA Winston Drag
Racing.

He then managed the Archer Brothers/HighwayMaster SCCA Trans-Am team for
three seasons before becoming Executive Director of the IMSA races in New
Orleans and Texas World Speedway in 1995.  He has been a consultant to Road
Atlanta since 1998.
