Phycomp Holding B.V. and X2Y Attenuators LLC Announce a Licensing Agreement for a Revolutionary New Passive Component Technology
SANTA MONICA, Calif.--Nov. 2, 2001--Phycomp will produce and market a new X2Y(R) product series worldwide. The licensed X2Y(R) Technology can be used to manufacture integrated passive components, which deliver unsurpassed EMI-suppression and decoupling performance. The technology allows a single X2Y(R) component to effectively filter a broadband width from kilohertz to six gigahertz and beyond.
Thanks to an excellent combination of low inductance, low series resistance and shielding, the X2Y(R) component can be used as a superior decoupling component. In decoupling applications, it can significantly reduce bulk capacitance needs in a ratio of up to 20 for 1 compared with tantalum capacitors. Other benefits include component placement cost savings, space reduction and increased reliability. X2Y(R) product series components are widely applicable in the automotive, computer, telecommunications, power, military/space and medical industries.
Phycomp is a global supplier of passive components with headquarters in the Netherlands with annual sales approaching $500 million. Phycomp, formerly Philips Components, is part of the Yageo Corp. All the company's factories are ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and are heading for Q9000 certification. Phycomp is accepting high-volume orders for X2Y(R) series products with minimal lead times.
X2Y Attenuators LLC is a technology development firm with headquarters in California, specializing in passive component technologies, emphasizing advanced electro-magnetic compliance and signal integrity solutions.
