Hyundai's Record Sales Continue; October Sales Set Ninth Consecutive Record
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 1 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced record sales of 34,051 vehicles for the month of October, up 95 percent over the previous year and the ninth consecutive record sales month in the U.S.
``All-time sales records were set in both the XG300 and Sonata carlines,''
said Hyundai's Vice President of Sales, Robert Cosmai.
``Customer reaction to
the redesigned 2002 Sonata has been outstanding.
There are three basic
factors driving Hyundai's sales growth,'' Cosmai explained.
``First is our
consistent marketing message, building the Hyundai brand and reinforcing the
Hyundai value story as a 'smart buy' in each market segment.
Second is our
focused dealer organization and, of course, there is The Hyundai Advantage,
America's Best Warranty, featuring 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain
protection.''
