SEMA UNVEILS ITS CHOICES FOR THE INDUSTRY’S
HOTTEST NEW PRODUCTS AT 2001 SEMA*ITE SHOW
LAS VEGAS — The 2001 SEMA*ITE Show, the nation’s largest automotive accessories trade show, announced its choices for the hottest and most innovative automotive products of the year. The annual SEMA Show, which debuts the latest in vehicle technologies, products and accessories, is being held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
A panel of nine judges reviewed nearly 700 new products for the awards. This year’s new product award recipients include:
Best New Pickup/SUV/Van Product: Carriage Works’ 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Billet Grille made from aircraft grade aluminum is easily installable.
Best New Packaging Design: American Products Co.’s Eurotail packaging offers a clear window to see the actual product as well as a unique carry handle for the person on the go.
Best New Merchandising Display: Powertrax’s No Slip Traction Display is designed for high visual impact and full operational demonstration as well as lightweight construction and carry case makes it very portable.
Best New Off-Road/4-Wheel Drive Product and Best Engineered New Product: Tal and Hadas Limited Wheel Pull. This great new product is designed to extract any vehicle from a “stuck” situation. The Wheel Pull uses the vehicle driveline to the vehicle out of a sticky situation. It’s safe and easy to use and can be transported from vehicle to vehicle.

Best New Accessory: Painless Performance’s innovative R-F Control Center is mounted in the steering wheel horn button, uses radio frequency technology to wirelessly operate accessories such as windows, fans, A/C, etc.
Best New Street Rod/Custom Car Product: Nordskog Performance Products Direct Fit Panel Kit includes full LED lighting, microprocessor controlling, all the performance features the M9222 Speedometer.
Best Engineered New Product: Kugel Komponents V8 Focus Hood Kit is the winner of this year’s award.
