Boston Acoustics Inks Multi-Year Pact With Visteon Corporation to Deliver Branded Audio Systems

    PEABODY, Mass.--Oct. 30, 2001--Boston Acoustics, Inc. , announced today that it has signed an agreement with Visteon Corporation to jointly develop and deliver Boston Acoustics branded audio systems to original equipment automobile manufacturers (OEM).
    The Joint Development Agreement enables Boston Acoustics to offer its high performance sound with Visteon's leading-edge automotive electronics and systems integration expertise to a select group of vehicle manufacturers. In addition to its electronics expertise, Visteon will provide Boston Acoustics with Tier-1 program management and immediate access to targeted OEM customers.
    Since its startup in 1979, Boston Acoustics has become one of the top selling brands of home speakers in America. In 1984 the Company introduced the world's first line of automotive component speaker systems, bringing the sonic performance of its home speakers to the car.

    The Toyota Racing Development (TRD) Sequoia S/C concept vehicle, which debuts today at the SEMA Convention, October 30 - November 2 in Las Vegas, integrates an all-new audio system featuring Boston Acoustics/Visteon components.
