Nihon Tecnomatix K.K., Japan, a subsidiary of Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. today announced that its ninth annual users conference, Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) Forum 2001, will be held at Le Meridien Pacific Tokyo on 1-2 November 2001, to introduce and discuss Tecnomatix's comprehensive MPM strategy. Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt, author of the worldwide bestseller, The Goal, and widely recognized as the premier advocate of TOC (Theory of Constraints), a business management philosophy in use at companies and schools around the world, will make the keynote speech at the opening session's General Forum.
Tecnomatix clients Mazda, Korean Aerospace Industry and KIA Motors are also scheduled to present at the event and discuss their implementation of Tecnomatix technology and solutions in their respective companies.
Harel Beit-On, CEO and president of Tecnomatix Technologies, will present the company's MPM strategy at the General Forum, followed by overview presentations of MPM solutions and discussion of several case studies, among other events. At the second day's Users Forum, Olivier Leteurtre, vice president of Nihon Tecnomatix, will present the company's strategy for the Japanese market. Other events for the second day include presentations and workshops on MPM products and strategy.
Dr. Goldratt is the author of The Goal, It's Not Luck, Critical Chain and Theory of Constraints and The System of Profound Knowledge, and other widely respected works on business management theory. His books on management theory have sold more than three million copies around the world, and have been translated into more than 20 languages. The Economist magazine reports that "the one management book that (managers) have actually read from cover to cover is The Goal," and Harvard Business Review says that Goldratt's Theory of Constraints "provided a persuasive solution for factories struggling with production delays and low revenues." This will be Dr. Goldratt's first speaking appearance in Japan.
