SportPaint Installs Pneu-Mech Parts Washing System
LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Oct. 25, 2001--SportPaint, Inc. has installed a custom-built, five stage power-washing system for cleaning plastic automotive components. SportPaint provides quality, environmentally compliant paint finishing for metal and plastic components such as bumpers, fenders, tonneau covers, motorcycle tanks, and more in the automotive, automotive aftermarket and motorcycle industries.The system was built and installed by Pneu-Mech Systems Manufacturing of Statesville, North Carolina, and meets General Motors' plastic parts cleaning specifications. Pneu-Mech Systems Manufacturing supplies and installs equipment for all types of paint and powder systems.
"This system allows SportPaint to provide even better service to our customers, who rely on us for high-quality painted finishes on their plastic components," said Thomas Cunningham, president of SportPaint.
The power washing system is located at SportPaint's main facility in Louisville. It features a solvent-based wash system designed to remove any surface impurities from components before the components are painted.
Founded in 1995, SportPaint is ISO9002 certified and currently employs 115 persons. SportPaint utilizes leading industry technology in High Pressure Low Volume (HPLV) spray equipment and start of the art down draft spray booths. SportPaint's process control and design allows it to provide customers with the capability of multi color changes and various production volumes for a variety of metal and plastic parts.
