Manheim Auction Parent To Sell Large Block Of Stock

Manheim Auction parent company announced that they would sell 13.5 million shares of Cox Communications Class A common stock to two yet unknown private investors. Cocks Enterprises will use proceeds from the sale for general corporate purposes.

Jim Kennedy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cox Enterprises and Chairman of Cox Communications, Inc. was quoted as saying in the Cox release, ``This sale represents an opportunity to unite our balance sheet needs with meeting an expressed demand from the investors for a larger stake in Cox Communications, we have tremendous confidence in Cox Communications and its ability to generate value for its shareholders.'' Cox Enterprises reached an agreement on the terms of the sale on October 22, 2001, and expects to close the sale on or about October 29, 2001.

Co-Publisher Note: Unfortunatly, our personal experience in dealing with Cox has proven to us, these investors must make sure that everything that is discussed is documented “eight ways to Sunday” because as far as I am concerned they have no business integrity and will steal and lie to cover their asses.
