2002 Olympic Torch Relay To Use AuraGen

    EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--Oct. 24, 2001--AURA SYSTEMS, INC. (OTC BB: AURA) announced today that the 2002 Winter Olympic Games Torch Relay caravan across America will include the AuraGen as the electric power source on the GM Chevrolet Avalanche command vehicle.
    The Olympic Flame will begin its journey on December 4, in Atlanta and cross the country for the opening ceremony in Salt Lake City. The Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Torch Relay will make its way to millions of Americans through the support of the Olympic Torch Relay caravan including the Avalanche command vehicle. The customized Chevrolet Avalanche will be equipped with an AuraGen and outfitted with a special Olympic Cauldron. The Olympic Torch caravan will make stops in 125 major cities and hundreds of small towns along the way with approximately 11,500 torchbearers that will each carry the Olympic flame approximately 0.2 miles. The Olympic Torch convoy will include several Chevrolet cars and trucks which will be used for advance operations, torchbearer shuttles, stage production trucks and support equipment. The Chevrolet fleet of cars and trucks will ensure the safe arrival of the Olympic Flame from city to city and eventually into the Olympic Stadium in Salt Lake City.
