IRVINE, Calif.--Oct. 23, 2001--Caliber's Training Expo Brings New Technologies and Hands-On Interactive Training to Insurance and Collision Industry Professionals
On Oct. 12th & 13th, Caliber Collision Centers, an Irvine-based operator of high-quality collision repair facilities in California and Texas, teamed with 3M, and Akzo Nobel to host its first annual Training Expo 2001 at Caliber's Chino Valley, Calif. location.
According to Stepan Altounian, Caliber's vice president of vendor relations and coordinator of Training Expo 2001, Caliber's primary focus is to ensure that associates receive the training required to consistently deliver quality collision repair.
"Training Expo 2001 reflects our commitment to repair quality and to the development of our associates," said Altounian. "We will continue to be innovative in our approach to providing hands-on, interactive technical training."
More than 500 Caliber associates and insurance industry partners participated in Caliber's Training Expo 2001. Along with major sponsors 3M and Akzo Nobel, more than 18 service, product and equipment providers conducted hands-on training classes for participants. Providers offering instruction included Chief, Cintas, Evercoat, Pro-Spot, Fusor, Hunter, Omega, SRS, Martech and Car-O-Liner.
According to Larry Carter, president of Car-O-Liner USA, Caliber's Training Expo 2001 was a win-win for everyone involved. "At Training Expo 2001, attendees were instructed in the use of state-of-the-art products and equipment by Caliber's providers as they painted cars, welded panels, pulled frames, sanded primers and learned new technologies of first aid techniques and safety procedures," said Carter.
"Caliber's Training Expo 2001 was one of the most memorable and productive training events that I have ever witnessed. Car-O-Liner is very proud to be associated with such an innovative group of dedicated people. The collision repair industry welcomes such vision and professionalism, and we look forward to participating in future events that promote this kind of hands-on training and interactive teaching."
