HIDDEN HITCH OFFERS FULL LINE OF TAILLIGHT CONVERTERS
MADISON HEIGHTS, MI – Hidden Hitch offers a complete line of taillight converters to ensure that the brake and turn signal lights on tow vehicles and trailers are working properly and safely.
“Most vehicles operate on a four wire electrical system where the brake lights and turn signals run off the same wire,” according to Peter Bell, marketing manager, Hidden Hitch. “But in a towing situation, if the tow vehicle has separate wires for the brake lights and turn signals, a taillight converter is required.”
He added that choosing the proper converter depends on the type of trailer and tow vehicle you're using. “The electrical systems on some vehicles are designed only to handle the power needs of that vehicle,” he said.
“The only way to be sure is to check the owner's manual.”
Whatever your towing setup, Hidden Hitch offers a converter to meet any need. The product mix includes the TLC line of non-powered units, as well as the Powerline!™ products featuring power isolation. Both are available with Hidden Hitch's smart circuit protection, a dynamic variance detection system that can detect a short circuit in the line before it damages the system, Bell said.
Here is the company's lineup:
· TLC Lite, the company's standard, non-powered model, designed for vehicles that are towing trailers with two or fewer clearance lights and do not require power isolation.
· TLC Smart, a passive taillight converter that includes the company's smart circuit protection. It is recommended for vehicles that do not require power isolation, towing trailers with two or less clearance lights.
· Powerline!™ installation kit, the Powerline! Taillight Converters do not come with power wire lead, connectors or hardware. This kit includes everything needed to complete an installation.
· Powerline! Lite, 5 amp kit, is designed for vehicles requiring power isolation and are towing trailers with two or fewer clearance lights.
· Powerline! Smart, 10 amp, provides smart circuit protection and power isolation for vehicles towing trailers with up to six clearance lights.
· Powerline! HD, 20 amp, can handle all heavy duty towing applications where the trailer has more than six clearance lights.
