UAW and General Dynamics Settle

DETROIT, Oct. 22 -- Negotiators for the UAW and General Dynamics Land Systems have reached an agreement on a tentative four-year master contract covering more than 720 UAW-represented workers at facilities in Sterling Heights, Michigan; Lima, Ohio; and Eynon, Pennsylvania, and over 3,100 retirees.

Details of the proposed new agreement are being withheld pending ratification meetings scheduled for later this week. The current contract expired on October 14, 2001 at 11:59PM
