S&P Afm Rtg on CBTC Goodyear Tire & Rubber Tr 2001-34

    NEW YORK--Standard & Poor's--Oct. 22, 2001--Standard & Poor's affirmed its triple-'B' rating on corporate-backed trust certificates series 2001-34 issued by Corporate Backed Trust Certificates Goodyear Tire & Rubber Note-Backed Series 2001-34 Trust.
    This affirmation follows the issuance of an additional $3,500,000 of certificates.
    The rating reflects the credit quality of the underlying securities, $49,860,000 aggregate principal amount of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. 7.00% notes due March 15, 2028, and addresses the likelihood of the trust making payments as required under the trust agreement.
