Mercury Products Corp. Names New President

    ITASCA, Ill.--Oct. 19, 2001--James Kopek has been promoted to president of Mercury Products Corp.
    In this position, Kopek will oversee all day-to-day operations of Mercury Products four locations in the United States and Canada. He had been Executive VP, Automotive Group, in Chesterfield Michigan. Kopek currently resides in the Detroit area and will be relocating to Mercury Products Corporate Center in Itasca, IL. Kopek brings 37 years of extensive automotive experience in tooling, manufacturing and procurement including 9 years in senior management, most recently at Noble International Ltd.
