MB'S Bernard Kuhnt Goes Western

MONTVALE, N.J., Oct. 16 -- Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) today announced the appointment of Bernard Kuhnt to the position of vice president of sales - west, effective immediately. The newly defined position is responsible for sales operations for the western portion of the United States covered by MBUSA's Los Angeles and San Francisco regions. In this position, Kuhnt reports to Keith May, vice president of sales at the company's Montvale, NJ headquarters. Kuhnt, who started his career with Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart in 1986, has extensive marketing, wholesale and retail experience. He has held numerous sales and product marketing positions in Germany, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom. In his most recent position, Kuhnt was general manager of Mercedes-Benz passenger car sales, responsible for all franchising and commercial relationships between the Mercedes-Benz division and the franchise dealer network in the U.K. A native of Stuttgart, Germany, Kuhnt is married and the father of two daughters. He will relocate to the Los Angeles area where the position is based.
