Allstate Insurance Company NW Region Annual Giving Campaign Raises $320,000 For Charity; Employees and Agents Donate $165,000 to Washington Non-Profit Organizations

    SEATTLE--Oct. 17, 2001--Employees and agents of Allstate Insurance Company's Northwest Region have contributed more than $320,000 to non-profit organizations through the company's Annual Giving Campaign.
    More than $165,000 was contributed to charities in Washington state.
    The Allstate Annual Giving Campaign gives each employee and agent an opportunity to contribute to any non-profit organization of their choice, and Allstate matches their donation by 15 percent, with an additional 5 percent going to the local United Way Community Fund. This year's campaign took place September 17-28.
    Agents and employees in five states -- Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii -- participate in the campaign for the Northwest Region. This year, more than $320,000 was raised by the Northwest Region; more than $16,000 of the total was donated by agents and employees for the disaster relief in New York and Washington D.C. With the 20 percent match by Allstate, $385,000 will be donated to charitable organizations throughout the Northwest region and to the New York and D.C. disaster relief.
