Distrimedia to Distribute Quatech Data Communication Products in France

    AKRON, Ohio--Oct. 16, 2001--Quatech Inc., a leading manufacturer of data communication products, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Distrimedia, a specialized distributor of data communication equipment, for distribution of its full line of data connectivity products in France.
    France is an important market for Quatech because of the country's numerous industrial operations that require data connectivity products to implement process control applications. France's extensive commercial markets provide additional opportunities for Quatech, as data connectivity is an integral part of many Point of Sale, banking and security applications. While Quatech has had a presence in France for several years, the new partnership with Distrimedia will significantly increase the Company's penetration of these substantial market segments.
