Ford Motor Minority Dealers Association Selects Reynolds and Reynolds' ReySource On-Line Procurement Solution
DAYTON, Ohio--Oct. 16, 2001--ReySource to Fulfill FMMDA Member Dealerships' Procurement Needs
The Reynolds and Reynolds Company today announced an agreement with Ford Motor Minority Dealers Association (FMMDA) to provide FMMDA member dealerships with ReySource(TM) (www.ReySource.com), the company's Internet-based automotive retailing procurement solution.
As part of the three-year agreement, FMMDA will refer its member dealerships to ReySource for all procurement needs. FMMDA members may purchase business forms, maintenance, operation and repair products, and other office supplies available on the ReySource Web site.
"FMMDA is always seeking ways to help our dealer members improve their bottom lines. Our endorsement of ReySource to our members is an obvious way to accomplish this," said Robert Hill, executive director of FMMDA. "By using ReySource, our members will be able to take advantage of a truly streamlined procurement process, helping them realize cost and time savings as well as convenience."
According to Scott Collins, vice president of Reynolds' Integrated Document Solutions, "With the recently announced enhancements to ReySource, FMMDA members now have access to over 20,000 products on-line. This, plus its ease of use, equal increased business value and efficiency for FMMDA members."
ReySource provides many procurement capabilities, including customized product ordering and on-line order status and detail, to automotive retailers to help them manage the purchase of business forms, office supplies, and other products and services in their dealership. The ReySource solution, which has exceeded $13 million in on-line sales in only six months of operation, is completely integrated with Reynolds' award-winning direct sales channel, providing a convenient way for dealers to leverage the power of Internet technology to simplify their billing and supply management issues for their customers.
In addition to forms and supplies procurement, ReySource also gives retailers additional auto industry information to keep them abreast of existing and emerging trends. This includes up-to-the-minute news flashes, stock updates, and industry research and case studies.
Charles Shamblee, vice president of Reynolds' Car Company Solutions Group, said this agreement is another example of how Reynolds is helping car companies and their retailers achieve maximum results for their businesses. "Car companies are putting substantial efforts toward the support of their minority dealer associations today, realizing the value these organizations bring to their businesses and the industry as a whole. ReySource is one way in which Reynolds is helping car companies execute these strategies."
