CCC Information Services Inc. Introduces QAAR Plus Version 1.2; Reinspection Tool Adds Increased Flexibility for Estimate Review and Auditing

    CHICAGO--Oct. 15, 2001--CCC Information Services Inc., a leading supplier of solutions to the automotive claims industry, has introduced QAAR Plus(TM) version 1.2, an enhanced audit tool within Pathways(R) Appraisal Quality Solution, to help insurance companies monitor the quality and accuracy of the appraisal process. The features of QAAR Plus introduce an unprecedented level of management and flexibility for the user in the reinspection process.

With QAAR Plus, estimates are evaluated line-by-line against a set of rules that are established by the insurance company, rather than by the system. Using QAAR Writer(TM), an integrated tool within QAAR Plus, users create and edit a virtually unlimited number of reinspection rules in non-technical language. In addition, each rule may be customized to focus specifically on a region, a particular office, or even an individual appraisal source to identify opportunities for improvement in appraisal quality.
    The enhancements in CCC's QAAR Plus will help insurance companies increase the speed, accuracy, and flexibility in producing appraisal audit results. Additionally, the combination of QAAR Plus and CCC's PQA software enable valuable insight into the appraisal process.
