1000 DaimlerChrysler Services Employees Will Move
DETROIT – AP reported today that the financial services arm of DaimlerChrysler AG will move its headquarters within the Detroit area next year.
James Ryan a spoksperson for DaimlerChrysler Services North America said Friday that the company will move from Southfield to Farmington Hills and will be located in the campus of four connected buildings housing the headquarters of Michigan National Bank, which the company purchased for an undisclosed amount.
It went on to report that currently, the company's 1,000 employees are split between two buildings some distance apart. DaimlerChrysler Services North America hopes to move into its new headquarters in the third quarter of next year.
Jurgen Walker, president and CEO of DaimlerChrysler Services North America, said "We'll be able to bring all our employees under one roof, thus facilitating communications and best practices among the different brands within DaimlerChrysler Services,at the same time, the new environment will further enhance our new identity as the captive financial services provider for the Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner brands,"
