NHRA HEAT COVERS NATIONAL & DIVISIONAL POINT CHASE
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Bristol Dragway and its racers will be featured in next week's airing of NHRA Heat, on Thursday, Oct. 18th at 6:30 PM/EST on ESPN 2.
With only one more divisional Federal-Mogul Drag Racing Series event before the end of the season, racers including Comp competitor Mike Saye, and Super Comp competitor Sherman Adcock were interviewed concerning their run at the points race.
This is the last divisional event of the season that NHRA Heat will be covering. The staff will be traveling next to cover the O'Reilly Fall Nationals in Ennis, Texas, Oct. 18-21.
SEALED POWER AND CSI PERFORMANCE SPECIAL AWARDS
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Sealed Power Low Qualifier Bonuses were awarded to Bill McCornack of Lexington, Ky., in Federal-Mogul Dragster; Jay Payne of Claremont, Calif., in Federal-Mogul Funny Car; Larry Pritchett of Clarkrange, Tenn., in Comp; Bruce Campbell of Waynesville, N.C., in Super Stock; and Tom Hemmingson of Concord, N.C., in Stock.
Ed Richardson of Bradenton, Fla., earned CSI Performance Best Engineered Car, and Pat Bennett of Amherst, Va., received the CSI Performance Best Appearing Car award for his '63 Corvette.
