Adecco Names Jaime Frias of Moreno Valley Staffing Employee of the Year

RIVERSIDE, Calif.--Oct. 11, 2001--Jaime Frias, a resident of Moreno Valley, CA, has been named one of five Adecco Staffing Employees of the Year.
Adecco, the nation's--and the world's--largest staffing service company, created the awards to celebrate National Staffing Employee Week and to recognize the contributions of an increasingly important segment of the workforce: temporary employees.
Dennis G. Allen, facility manager for Cerritos Terminal Services in Riverside, an electronics product distributor, is the Adecco client who nominated Jaime Frias for this award. In his nomination, Allen pointed out that "...business infrastructure is vital to building a solid foundation for success, and that foundation is made of people who care and execute the ideals of the company. Adecco has provided us with a person who meets all of those critical criteria. We are proud to nominate Jaime Frias."
Stephen Miller, manager of the Adecco branch in Riverside, CA, which has placed Frias in a number of light industrial positions at Inland Empire clients in the last 1 1/2 years, says, "We're glad to pay tribute to Jaime Frias, who is a shining star of the temporary workforce. He exemplifies Adecco's core values--he's reliable, with a great work ethic, and is a real team player who has the interests of the client at heart." The proud parents of five children, Frias and his wife will receive a $1,000 check at a National Staffing Employee Week celebration to take place at Adecco's Riverside office.
Like many people who register with Adecco and other staffing service companies, Frias hopes that one of his temporary placements will result in his being hired as a full-time employee by the client company. As Frias says, "Working as a temporary employee is an excellent way for both the employee and the employer to test the waters before committing to a full-time employment arrangement."
Each day, some 2.5 million people report to work for a temporary assignment with a staffing company, according to the American Staffing Association in Alexandria, Virginia. More and more workers, many of whom are seeking their first job or re-entering the workforce, are attracted to the benefits of temporary employment. Not only that, temporary employees contribute to their communities by helping to create a flexible workforce that companies use as a solution in meeting their business objectives. According to Debbie Pond-Heide, president of Adecco North America, "For a growing number of individuals, temporary employment represents an ideal lifestyle. We're proud to be involved in an industry that provides so much benefit to people, to businesses and by extension, to our national economy."
