WHAT:	When it comes to driving, do you consider yourself normal? A new survey
finds a misperception about the way we drive. Just in time for October car care
month, this survey enlightens drivers on how they may be much harder on their
vehicles than they thought.

FINDINGS:	A recent Harris Interactive poll finds that although
fourteen-percent of those initially surveyed rated themselves as severe drivers,
that number increased dramatically to fifty-five-percent when they were given
the criteria for severe driving conditions.

Short trips, stop and go traffic, extreme hot and cold climates towing and
hauling heavy loads…if this sounds like your driving conditions, manufacturers
say you’re a severe driver and not a normal driver. If you are a severe driver,
for many vehicles, it’s absolutely critical to get your car in for service every
3,000 miles or you could face costly repairs down the road. Car Care experts say
your owner’s manual routinely describes normal versus severe driving and
calculates maintenance intervals based on each.

Open your owner’s manual, read it. Find what you need to do to take care of
your car.
