Subject: Press Release for Stacy Puryear

Stacy Puryear and the Naturally Fresh team are gearing up for the second Championship race at Myrtle Beach Speedway this weekend. He'll start the weekend by doing a special showcar appearance Friday afternoon at the Alabama Theatre, who is the presenting sponsor of the race. After a disappointing finish at Jennerstown, Stacy hopes to vastly improve on his 29th position in the points. He finished 9th in the regular season in the Southern points. Engine problems took Stacy out of the race while running in 10th position. New engine builder Billy Banks, who was the engine builder for Stacy when he ran Late Model Stocks in 1999, has really been working hard for the team to get better and more reliable engines. Stacy is hoping to do well in order to obtain a sponsor for the 2002 Hooter's ProCup season. Car owners Mitch and Susan Shook are expecting the birth of a new baby next year which will greatly curtail their racing efforts. The Northern team of Sean Studer and Mitch Shook have parted ways and will not finish out the year. Stacy wants to run his own team in 2002, but if sponsorship is not found, he will actively be seeking a ride with an established team.
