ADVISORY/LADWP Goes Extra Mile for Customers and City; Department's Electric Vehicle Fleet Logs 1 Million Miles & Kicks Off Public Power Week
--WHAT: LADWP will celebrate the completion of 1 million miles traveled by its EV fleet, demonstrating the practicality and reliability of the vehicles as well as the Department's and City Government's commitment to clean technology. This event also serves as the Public Power Week kick-off, which will inform media and the community about LADWP's year-round services, programs and special activities for the week of Oct. 6-13. Activities include open houses, special branch events and hundreds of employee classroom presentations on energy conservation at adopted public schools.
