PACCAR Announces Promotion of Helene Mawyer

    BELLEVUE, Wash.--Oct. 3, 2001--PACCAR Inc has elected Helene Mawyer to the position of Vice President, effective October 1, 2001, according to Mark C. Pigott, chairman and chief executive officer.
    Ms. Mawyer earned a BS mathematics degree from the State University of New York and a Ph.D. mathematics from the University of Virginia. Prior to joining PACCAR in 1997, she worked for 20 years with General Electric in a variety of technical and managerial assignments.
    PACCAR Inc is a global technology leader in the design, manufacture and customer support of high quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates.
