SPECTACULAR STUNT DRIVER "TOMMY TRUBBLE" TO PERFORM
AT IRWINDALE ON OCTOBER 6 ... FIRE RAMP JUMP SCHEDULED
Irwindale, Calif. - - Tommy McTague, owner of Trubble Stunts, has been a professional stunt man for twelve years and a SAG member for more than ten years. He has performed stunts in many movies, including "Passenger 57" with Wesley Snipes. Recent television shows he's appeared on include , "I Dare You", "Real TV", "Sea Quest", "Rescue 911", and Nickelodeon's "Mystery Files of Shelby Woo".
For the last four years, he has amazed live audiences all over the country with his daredevil car jumps. Tommy has performed his death-defying stunts for hundreds of thousands of people all over the country. He holds a Class 33 license - - User of High Explosives - - and employs heavy pyrotechnics in his spectacular live shows. He's been seen performing his explosive stunts on UPN, ESPN2, Fox and TNN. And, on the evening of October 6, he'll be at Irwindale Speedway doing one of his spectacular fire ramp jumps into15 parked cars right in the middle of the Speedway infield.
When he was asked what he thinks about just before he jumps, the young Floridian said, "I keep running things over and over in my head. There is a lot to think about to make the show successful and safe. I concentrate about those things so much that there isn't time to be nervous just before I race toward the ramps. I spend time being nervous the days leading up to the jump which causes me to check and recheck the car, equipment, weather, etc."
"It's one of those feelings you can't explain with words, but if I had to, I would say 'Incredible!'", that's what Tommy says about flying through the air off the end of the ramp. "There is a distinct sound when I hit the ramps just before the car is pitched into the air. Most of the time I am fully engulfed in a ball of flames. I can see all the fire around me. Coming out of the flames, sometimes I can see the catch cars, and I am preparing for a violent impact. When the car finally comes to a stop, I release my five point harness, and get out as quickly as possible. It's different every time, no matter how much it remains the same.
Trubble has used various type of cars to crash, but he prefers mid-size, full frame vehicle. He never uses the same car twice, "They're only good for one jump ... that's it!" he insists (and we believe him). He has jumped hundreds of in front of crowds as large as 100,000 and does NOT consider himself "crazy". However, when asked if he was married he came back with, "Now that would qualify as one of my definitions of crazy. Really, though, who would marry a guy who did this for a living?"
Mark your calendars for n Irwindale Speedway first, Tommy Trubble on Saturday night October 6 ... This is going to be wild!
THANKS!
