Amica Again Leads National Auto Insurers in Customer Satisfaction

    LINCOLN, R.I.--Oct. 1, 2001--Amica Mutual Insurance Company has again ranked highest in the J. D. Power and Associates 2001 National Automotive Insurance Satisfaction Study(SM). Results of the study, which recognizes that Amica merited "Highest in Customer Satisfaction Among National Auto Insurers Two Years in a Row," were announced in mid-September.
    J. D. Power and Associates first started ranking national auto insurance customer satisfaction levels in 2000. Of all insurance providers included in the 2001 study, only Amica achieved an increase in customer satisfaction over its 2000 score.
    According to J.D. Power and Associates, the primary drivers for overall satisfaction included the value of services offered, the ability of the provider to fulfill commitments, the ease of working with the insurer, claims practices, billing practices, how well company personnel and agents treat customers, pricing, and problem resolution.
    Amica President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas A. Rankings like we received only happen when our employees approach each and every customer contact as if our reputation was going to be based on that specific transaction because, in fact, that is just the case."
