BELLEVUE, Wash – Park Place Racing/Fordahl Motorsports announced today that Englishman Oliver Gavin will be the third driver in the Park Place Racing/Fordahl Motorsports/Yokohama/Gatorz/TransGroup-sponsored Saleen S7 for the Audi Petit Le Mans in early October.

Gavin will join Park Place drivers Chris Bingham and Ron Johnson for the 10-hour event at Road Atlanta.

"Olly will be a great asset to the team," Bingham said. "We will have three professional drivers in the car, which will definitely put us in contention to win."

With the addition of Gavin, not only will the Park Place entry have three professional drivers, but they are all three Saleen veterans. Bingham and Johnson have won seven of nine races this season in the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series in the #5 Saleen S7.

Gavin is also no stranger to the powerful S7. He is a Saleen factory driver and competed in an S7 in this year’s running of Le Mans, finishing third in the GTS class and he won the 12- hour event at Sebring in an S7 earlier this season.

Although they are a privateer team, Bingham is confident he and his co-drivers can give the factory teams a good run.

"Although we are a privateer team going up against the Vipers, Ferrari and the factory Corvettes, we have a great car, great crew and experienced Saleen drivers," Bingham said.

The Audi Petit Le Mans will be held October 6, beginning at 12:00 noon EDT, and will have live flag-to-flag coverage on Speedvision. For more information on the event, please visit www.americanlemans.com and for more information on Park Place Racing, visit www.parkplaceracing.com.
