Grand-Am Announces Dates of 2001 Yearend Award Ceremonies

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2001) - Grand American Road Racing Association has announced the dates of the 2001 Championship Award Ceremonies for the Rolex Sports Car Series and Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series. The Rolex Series will honor its 2001 champions on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, while the Grand-Am Cup ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 4, 2002. 

The award ceremonies will recognize the team, driver and manufacturer champions in each class for their accomplishments during the 2001 season. Both ceremonies will be held at DAYTONA USA in conjunction with the Grand-Am Test Days at Daytona International Speedway, Jan. 3-5, 2002. Additional information regarding ticket sales will be available from Grand-Am at a later date.

The 2001 Grand-Am season will draw to a close when both the Rolex Series and Grand-Am Cup race at Daytona International Speedway during the Manheim's Daytona Auto Auction Presents The Brumos Continental Historics, Nov. 1-4.
