There is little doubt that Team Jeg’s is poised to make their presence felt in the final weeks of Pro Stock Truck Competition. Team Jeg’s driver Mike Coughlin continues to impress, rolling into Joliet with back to back wins at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals, and last weekends AutoZone Nationals in Memphis Tennessee.

“We are really excited about the performance of our Jeg’s Mail Order Chevy S-10,” commented Mike. “I can't say enough about our team back at the shop, they really have this truck performing. Hopefully we can continue to build on our success from the past two races.”

The engine was named the “GR-X”, after an engine in a speed racer episode. The "GR-X" was so fast that drivers would black out and crash. The engine was buried until speed racer uncovered it.

Brother and teammate John Coughlin is equally enthusiastic about returning to Joliet.

“Mikes two consecutive wins are a tribute to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Team Jeg’s,” said John. “A win by one, breeds confidence across the entire team and gets the momentum going in the right direction. We would like nothing more than to have an all Jeg’s final on Sunday. We have never done in the truck class and would like to accomplish it by the end of the season.”

John Coughlin rolls into Joliet 15th in the point standings. A good weekend could propel John as high as 12th in the points chase. Mike Coughlin currently rests in the 6th position. A good outing for Mike could produce a position in the top five.
