Schrader's Thoughts On Kansas City...

"I haven't tested at the track, but Johnny (Benson) tested there and Newt has spent a lot of time with James Ince and I think we've got a great starting point for the setup. As for the track, I think it is great that ISC has stepped up to build these new facilities that are first class. I was there for the groundbreaking ceremony a couple of years ago and I think it will be really neat to make my first laps there."

Schrader's Kansas City Expectations...

The No. 36 Pontiac the team is running this weekend at Kansas Speedway is the same car that ran at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May and both Pocono races. The car finished ninth at Pocono in May and ran solidly in the top 10 during the Coca-Cola 600.

"We tested the car at Kentucky and I feel like we've got a really good setup to start with," said crew chief Newt Moore. "We combined notes with the 10 team so I think we are both going to be close on the setup when we unload, plus we have Thursday to practice. We are going to start Thursday's practice in race set and then go to qualifying later in the day. I'm concerned about qualifying, but we're going to focus most of our time on our race setup."

"M&M's"® Racing Team driver Ken Schrader is racing just about as close to home as he can. Head east for about 250 miles from Kansas City on I-70 and follow the signs for St. Louis and look for the arch.

Schrader and the "M&M's"® Racing Team didn't test at Kansas Speedway, but teammate Johnny Benson and the No. 10 team spent a day there two weeks ago. Schrader and the team spend a day at Kentucky Speedway in preparation for the race last week.

This weekend is the final search for THE MOST COLORFUL FAN(tm) OF NASCAR®. The Colorful Fan Patrol will be in souvenir alley from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday morning. The Kansas fans will compete to be voted the ninth and final contestant for the finals next year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
