SAE's SAMC Rescheduled for April 2002
WARRENDALE, Pa., Sept. 21 The SAE Southern Automotive Manufacturing Conference and Exhibition, which was originally scheduled for October 8-10 in Greenville, South Carolina, has been rescheduled for April 8-10, 2002. The rescheduled conference will be held, as previously slated, at the Palmetto Expo Center in Greenville. SAE International, together with the host company for the program, BMW Manufacturing Corp., made the decision to postpone the conference following the tragic national events of September 11th. Many international and domestic conference participants expect to experience significant travel restrictions, and numerous pre-registered attendees have been forced to cancel their reservations. The professional development seminars scheduled in conjunction with the SAMC will continue to be held October 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, South Carolina, as previously scheduled. The titles of these seminars are: Supervision of Engineers and the Technical Staff; The Tire as a Vehicle Component; Tire & Wheel Safety Issues; Lean Manufacturing, Planning and Implementation; and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis.
