Titan Wheel Corporation of Illinois Receives Military Contract

    QUINCY, Ill., Sept. 24 Titan Wheel Corporation of
Illinois, a subsidiary of Titan International, Inc. , has received
confirmation of the largest military contract negotiated in the history of the
company.  The U.S. Army has granted Titan a multi-year contract for two-piece,
bolt-together wheels.  The value of this contract for new and replacement
wheels could exceed $45 million.
    Titan's bolt-together wheels are the only wheels approved by the U.S.
government for replacement on military trucks.  Titan is also the current
wheel supplier to original equipment manufacturers who are producing these new
military vehicles.
    Titan is a global supplier of mounted wheel and tire systems for off-
highway equipment used in agriculture, earthmoving/construction, and consumer
applications.  Titan has manufacturing and distribution facilities worldwide.
